When Lauren Jackson left her teaching career to enroll in culinary school, her dream was to one day open her own restaurant. 10 years later, with the encouragement of her husband Mike, the doors of Jackson House are now open.

The concept behind Jackson House is simple: To deliver a dining experience that’s more than an exquisite meal out. A true culinary journey.
“What we share with our guests is an experience,” Lauren explained. “We want people to linger. To feel as though they’ve been taken on a journey of hospitality and graciousness. This starts with expertly crafted food and drink but it’s really about connecting diners to our unique atmosphere and community.”
Lauren’s menu is both inspired by and intertwined with local vendors and produce, which ties the venue’s spirit of hospitality on a deeper level with the Woodinville community. As a perfect complement, her talented bartender has curated a growing collection of balanced cocktails and chosen a broad range of high-end and interesting whiskies for patrons to sample and enjoy.
Navigating the asset purchase
Lauren is intimately connected to the space that now houses her restaurant as she served as the executive chef at the restaurant previously owned and operated by the winery.
When the property became available for sale, she jumped at the opportunity.
By choosing an asset purchase in lieu of taking over the previous name and brand, she has been able to keep her entire team intact while having the freedom to take full control over her culinary vision.
